Product Details
The unit offers an adjustable humidistat for setting humidity levels to accommodate individual preferences, while automatic defrost keeps the unit running no matter how cool a room gets. Whisper-quiet operation allows for using the dehumidifier anywhere, and the lightweight unit’s built-in wheels and carrying handle allow it to be transported with little effort. The unit’s washable air filter helps remove impurities and dust from the air, and the unit uses the no-CFC refrigerant for protecting the environment and to reduce pollution.
Soleus Air CFM-40E Dehumidifier Review
The new Soleus Air Dehumidifier CFM-40E is a very attractive looking unit for any room in the house. It’s compact design and quiet feature (41 decibels) makes it really a good buy too.
The touch controls allow you to set both the desired humidity level (three levels, dry to moist) or you may choose “continuous” where the unit will continue to remove moisture from the air regardless of room humidity. You can also set the power level (medium, high, or quiet) to determine the rate of dehumidification. The unit can operate in temperatures down to 36 degrees Fahrenheit, thanks to its auto defrost feature.
The unit can remove up to 40 pints of water in 24 hours of operation. While the reservoir can hold 12.5 pints. In addition to touch controls and automatic shutoff to prevent overflows, the Soleus Air CFM-40E has a translucent water level gauge and a port for continuous drainage, should you opt for it.
The Soleus CFM-40 Air would be ideal for laundries and bathrooms that do not have adequate ventilation.
Soleus Air CFM-40E Dehumidifier Review 2:
First of all, we were impressed with the appearance of the unit and simplicity of operation. It is smaller in size than any other dehumidifier we have ever had but does a better more efficient job of removing excess humidity. We ordered the Soleus Air CFM-40E dehumidifier online, and it arrived exactly on the date it was promised. It arrived in good condition, and we immediately put it to use in our basement.
Prior to owning the Soleus, we had to turn our old dehumidifier off in order to watch tv. We cannot believe how quiet it is when running, it sounds as though it is a quiet fan rather than a dehumidifier. With our previous dehumidifier, as soon as we opened the door at the top of the basement stairs, we could hear it running. With the Soleus, we have to walk down to the bottom of the stairs in order to hear it running. Right now, we can actually watch tv in the same room as the dehumidifier and are able to hear the tv without a problem.
The handle on top is a nice feature which makes it easy to move the dehumidifier around to different areas of the room. We like the window indicator which shows how much water is in the tank. We then can get an idea of how much water is being taken out of the air and when it is full enough to empty before it turns off.
If this product continues to perform the way it does now, I would definitely buy another one, and I will recommend it to others.
